Tennessee: Courts Replace ‘Mother’ and ‘Father’ With ‘Parent 1’ and ‘Parent 2’

Children in Tennessee will now have “Parent 1” and “Parent 2” instead of a mother and a father, according to Tennessee’s Administrative Office of the Courts.

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage, the office revised its documents, replacing the words “mother” and “father” with the terms “Parent 1” and “Parent 2.” ∞∞∞∞∞ MORE »»»»
