Georgia: Shellhouse resigns as jail administrator, new chief jailer named In Cedartown Georgia

The Polk County Jail will soon have a new chief in charge after Jerry Shellhouse resigned from the job earlier this week.

Polk County Sheriff Johnny Moats said he was sad to see Shellhouse go, but said he’s looking forward to having Cedartown Police’s Al Sharp join the Sheriff’s office as new chief jailer. Moats said the change in title simply reflects the wishes of Sharp, who has previous experience in jail operations. ∞∞∞∞∞ SEE MORE ∞∞∞∞∞
