Georgia: Department of Agriculture trains for avian flu

The Georgia Department of Agriculture held a demonstration on how to kill chickens with foam.

With cases of Avian Influenza popping up in chicken and turkey populations across the U.S., the federal agency is trying to prepare, in case it comes in Georgia.

“Our concern is that it could possibly move in to the Atlantic flyway and as those birds move back down from Canada, through the migratory pathways, they could cross into Georgia,” said Dan Duncan with the Georgia Department of Agriculture. ∞∞∞∞∞ SEE MORE ∞∞∞∞∞
